CREDENTIALS:

I received my undergraduate degree from Skidmore College and my masters degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. I have completed the Intensive Psychodynamic Psychoanalytic Program from the William Alanson White Institute, and have completed an Externship and Core Skills in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT),completed training in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and am a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP). I am a member of ICEEFT (International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy), NYCEFT (New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy) and AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, counselors and therapists) . I have I am committed to continued education and developing more skills that will be useful for my patients.

I received my Yoga Alliance 200 hour training from Laughing Lotus, in NYC in 2008 and completed a significant number of Trauma Sensitive Yoga ( focusing on interoceptive awareness and nervous system regulation) and Katonah Yoga trainings. I hold certification as an E-RYT, registered with Yoga Alliance.

I have worked with people struggling with chronic mental illness and substance abuse issues at Payne Whitney Clinic at New York Presbyterian Hospital inpatient psychiatric unit and was a staff clinician at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, Center for Anorexia and Bulimia. I facilitated various DBT based groups in the partial hospital program at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

I spent many years working with college and graduate students at Counseling and Psychological Services at Columbia University. I was a member of the Eating Disorder Team, Couples Counseling Supervision Group, and the Outreach Team. Here I enjoyed working with students individually, in groups and with couples who were navigating various relationship and sexuality concerns.
